These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the DentScanner mobile app and related website. By downloading or using DentScanner, you agree to these Terms and any app-store terms that apply to you. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

DentScanner turns a phone or tablet screen into a striped light board that can help make reflections over vehicle dents easier to see. It is a visual aid, not a measurement instrument, professional inspection, repair estimate, safety certification, or guarantee that a panel is free of damage.

Safe use

Use DentScanner only when it is safe to handle and position your device. Do not use it while driving or in a way that distracts a driver, blocks traffic, or risks injury or property damage. You are responsible for confirming your own inspection and repair decisions.

License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DentScanner for lawful personal or business purposes under these Terms. You may not:

• Copy, resell, sublicense, or distribute the app except as store rules allow.
• Bypass access controls or technical protections.
• Reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use the app to violate law or the rights of another person.
• Interfere with the app, website, stores, or supporting services.

Ownership

DentScanner, its design, software, text, graphics, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant a license to use the app, not ownership of it or its intellectual property.

Third-party services

The app relies on Apple, Google, RevenueCat, PostHog, Expo, and other service providers. Their terms and policies may apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

Updates and availability

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law or store requirements, or improve the product. Device, operating-system, and store changes may affect availability or compatibility.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DentScanner is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, vehicle damage, or losses arising from reliance on an inspection result. Our total liability relating to DentScanner is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access for material misuse or violation of these Terms, subject to store rules and applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product or legal requirements change. We will post the updated Terms here and revise the effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
